This is where you can checkout and return library materials including Course Reserves and Interlibrary Loans, activate and update your library account, pay library fines and fees, request thesis binding, get general assistance, and more. The department assists the University community, students, faculty, and staff in using the resources of the library and developing information literacy and research skills. Consistent with higher education philosophy and the Fitchburg State University Library mission statement, the Reference department commits itself to instructing students in research methods and in the use of indexes, catalogs and other instruments of information retrieval through its Reference services provided at the Research Help Desk and research consultations.
