Research Alerts and Tools

What is an RSS Feed?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a database feature that broadcasts new content as it is added. When setting up alerts, you will often have a choice between RSS Feed and Email content pushes.

To use an RSS feed, you will need to use a RSS Reader. RSS Feed Readers allow subscribers to gather and keep track of updates in one place, rather than visiting each website or database individually to check for new content.
