On Campus Access

From any computer while on campus, full access to the Chronicle of Higher Education is automatic. Simply go to http://chronicle.com.

Please remember that the Chronicle of Higher Education uses the “lock” icon to indicate premium content – the icon does not mean you don’t have access, simply click on the article title and it will display.

Off Campus Access

Go to Chronicle.com and Sign In to your account, if you already have one, for access. If you do not already have an account, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Chronicle.com and click on the “Sign In” link at top, right-hand side of the page, or Create a New Account.
  2. Select the "Sign Up" tab to create a free account using your student.fitchburgstate.edu (for students) or fitchburgstate.edu (for faculty and staff) email address. You also have the option to sign up for The Chronicle's free email newsletters during the registration process.
  3. Activate your account by confirming your email address in the “The Chronicle: Confirm your email address” email.

Note: If you have already set up a Chronicle of Higher Education free account for receiving  alerts or newsletters using either your @student.fitchburgstate.edu or @fitchburgstate.edu email, you don’t have to set up anything new.  If you are logged in already, just log out of the site and log back in.

Once registered, you can download The Chronicle app on your phone or tablet and sign in with your campus email address.
