Monty's Restaurant

Monty's Garden Restaurant is a 4th generation family operation that was opened over 50 years ago. Mr. Emanuel Montagna, a successful entrepreneur, who had opened this city's first pool parlor and silent movie theatre, felt that this city needed an Italian restaurant. Prompted by his love of flower gardens, "Monty" had a garden mural painted on canvas and pasted to the walls of the original dining room. This mural still exists and can be seen in the "old section".

Fraticelli Oil Company

Fraticelli Oil company is one of the oldest and most successful businesses in the heart of New England, located in Leominster, Massachusetts. Fraticelli family started a home oil heating delivery service around 1932 which was eventually taken by their oldest son, Frank. During the mid-1920s oil burner systems were introduced and by the mid-1930's many homes were installing these systems into their homes for heat and hot water. These systems used fuel oil, a less refined oil than kerosene. So Larry now needed a two-compartment truck for both kerosene and fuel oil. Throughout the 1940s Larry had been purchasing his oil to deliver to his customers, from the Boudreau Oil Company who had oil storage tanks on Whitney Street.
