Distance Learning and Extended Campus Library Services

Who can use these services?

This service is available for all faculty teaching at least one course and for all students enrolled in one or more courses at Fitchburg State through distance learning or at an extended campus program.

What are Distance Learning and Extended Campus Library Services?

Distance Learning and Extended Campus Library Services are the same library services (borrowing library materials, interlibrary loan, library information instruction sessions for your courses, reference and research assistance, reserves, etc.) that are available for our on-campus students and faculty which have been tailored to meet the needs of our distance learning and extended campus' students and faculty. The goal of this service is to ensure that everyone in a distance learning or extended campus program/course through Fitchburg State has complete access to our Library's resources and services without having to come on-campus unless they elect to visit.

How do I access these services?

You have direct access to most of our services and resources online. Detailed information is provided on this guide as to where and how to access each of them. The Access Services Librarian is responsible for all services related to circulation, reserves, document delivery, interlibrary loans, reference and library instruction sessions as they relate to the distributed learning library services. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact Linda LeBlanc.
