National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)'s website has many tools to get your started before November.

To participate you can signup with NaNoWriMo’s official site by following these easy steps:

  1. Fill out your profile at nanowrimo.org. Complete your profile so like-minded writers can connect with you.
  2. Create your novel.
  3. Select your region. Choose a home region to get updates on local events from your volunteer Municipal Liaison. Once you’ve selected your region, your Regional Lounge will appear with the forums.
FSU Students should select: USA :: Massachusetts :: Elsewhere

NaNoWriMo’s Come Write In (CWI) program connects libraries, bookstores, and other neighborhood spaces with their local NaNoWriMo participants (or Wrimos) to build vibrant writing communities.

Every November, thousands of writers around the world congregate at Come Write In spaces to pursue their creative dreams and write the first draft of their novel.

Come Write In at the FSU Library: Come meet up with other FSU Wrimos in the Library's 3rd floor Maker's Space or online through chat! Write-Ins will be filled with writing prompts, word sprints, challenges, word wars, and more.  Check the schedule for details.
