This guide will help you locate library research and instructional support resources that are available as Fitchburg State University moves classes to online formats in place of in-person instruction due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak.
The Fitchburg State University Library building is closed until further notice to maintain public health due to the COVID-19 virus. We will continue to meet the information needs of the FSU community in the following ways:
Please note since the library building is closed, there is no access to physical course reserve materials, print books, computers and printers. While the book drop is available, books do not need to be returned until the Library re-opens. Late fees will be waived.
Research assistance is available online: Monday through Thursday from 9am to 7pm, Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday 12pm to 5pm, Sunday 1pm to 8pm. See the Library's Calendar for full details.
The Amelia V. Gallucci-Cirio Library is a digital library - accessible from your home, your work place, your local public library, even your neighborhood coffee shop as long as where you are has internet access. We offer over 215,000 eBooks, over 20,000 streaming films, over 100,000 online journals and over 165 databases.
Visit the library homepage at https://library.fitchburgstate.edu/ to begin your research. In order to access library's databases, eBooks, eJournals, and other online subscription resources you need to be authenticated as an FSU student or employee, so have your Falcon Key username and password handy. See our DIY: Accessing Library Resources from Off Campus page (https://fitchburgstate.libguides.com/diyoffcampusaccess) for guidance.
Due to COVID-19 precautions, the Fitchburg State University Archive's physical location will be closed until further notice. You can still access the Archive's digital collections at digitalarchives.fitchburgstate.edu
If you have any questions, please contact the Archivist, Asher Jackson at email@example.com or 978-665-4869. You can also contact a Librarian via our online chat service at library.fitchburgstate.edu
