Anti-Racism Film Series: Welcome

The streaming films presented here have been procured for class use, research, and personal use through the Dean's Anti-Racism Grant awarded to the Library

Welcome!

Welcome to the Amelia V. Gallucci-Cirio's Anti-Racism film series to be held virtually over the course of the Spring 2021 semester. With the support of a Dean's Anti-Racism Grant awarded to the Library in the Fall 2020, the Library has the opportunity to procure and cultivate a collection of film resources focused on a wide range of topics related to both the intersection of race and society, as well as an examination and celebration of the every day lived experiences of persons of color, in particular Black Americans.

Virtual Film Series

Due to the restrictions in place for mitigating the effects of the pandemic, this film series will be accessible entirely through online platforms. The benefit of the online nature is that most films featured will be accessible to the FSU community at anytime.

How to use this guide:

  • Films will be embedded into this guide and can be accessed to any Fitchburg State affiliate with FSU login credentials
  • Films that are either part of larger events or will have associated programming such as a talk or panel discussion are separated out into their own tab
  • Feel free to use any of these films for a class, research, professional development, or personal use
  • For faculty interested in using a film for a class, you can link out directly to a film or embed the video into Blackboard.
  • If you have question, need assistance in adding a video to Blackboard, or would like to suggest additional films, please contact Lori Steckervetz, Outreach Librarian for Student Success, at lstecker@fitchburgstate.edu
