Locating and Using Ebooks

Downloading Ebooks

You may want to consider downloading an ebook if you need to access a book offline (i.e. no internet access is required). 

Ebooks can be downloaded to a computer or mobile device.The loan period is 7 days.

  • Adobe Digital Editions is the recommended software to view an ebook  on a laptop or computer in an offline environment.
  • Bluefire Reader is the recommended software to view an ebook  on a mobile device in an offline environment.
  • To download ebook, users need to set up an Ebsco Account. 

To download an ebook:

1) From the landing page of the book, sign in to your Ebsco Account. 

 

2). Click on Download.

 

3). Select the preferred format (PDF or EPUB ).  NOTE: EPUB is not always an option. Format options are determined by the publisher. Click to confirm that you have Adobe Digital Editions installed and click on download. The book will download to Adobe Digital Editions and be available for 7 days.  At the end of 7 days, you can download it again if needed.
