Self-Care Tips

1. CONSIDER YOUR TIME:

Your time is important, and learning how to manage it effectively is a great life-skill to learn. When you are thinking about your own self-care, make sure you consider how many hours you want to invest in different things, like work, school, social life, family obligations, and general well-being.

2. BE REALISTIC WITH YOUR ROUTINE:

The best way to not achieve something is to be unrealistic with the goals you set. When setting new routine or self-care goals, start small and work up to something bigger.

3. START WITH THE BASICS:

Taking care of yourself doesn't have to be overly complex. Try and identify small ways that you can take care of yourself, such as getting more sleep and better nourishment. Once you've identified a few areas that need better self-care, try making a small list of easy ways to address each item.

4. CHECK-IN WITH YOURSELF:

Regardless of whether or not you are a list and schedule person, try to find time to check-in with yourself at least once a week to see how you are really doing. It might be awkward at first, but eventually you will get more comfortable with assessing your self-care needs.
