Borrowing Services: Borrow Materials

Here you will find information about borrowing and renewing library materials from the Amelia V. Gallucci0Cirio Library, from our Cross-borrowing library partners and from other libraries through our Interlibrary Loan Service.

Library Card and Barcode

You must have your Library Card in order to check out materials and access the study rooms. You are responsible for all items borrowed on your card. Please do not lend your card to anyone. For your protection, if we suspect the card being used doesn't belong to the person presenting it, you will be asked to show additional identification. Please report a lost, missing or stolen card to the One Card Office and the Library.

Students, Factulty & Staff

  • Your Library Card is your Fitchburg State One Card; present it at the Circulation Desk in order to check out any library items, reserve the study room and pick up Interlibrary Loan items.
  • Your Library Barcode number is your Banner number with the "@" symbol changed to a zero. Example: If your Banner number is @12345678, your Library Barcode would be 012345678.
  • Your Library Institution ID number is your Banner number without the leading zeros. Example: If your Banner number is @12345678, your Library Institution ID number would be 12345678.
